About Desert Bloom

A family home, by design.

Desert Bloom is owned and run by our family. We are trained caregivers, and one of us lives at the home, so when you call or visit, you are talking with the people responsible for Desert Bloom.

We chose to keep the home to four residents on purpose. A small home lets us learn each person well: when they like to wake up, how they take their coffee, what makes a good afternoon. Residents share meals at one table in a house that feels like the homes they came from.

Relationships start before move-in. We get to know your loved one and your family, including their history, routines, and what matters most to them. Families help shape the service plan, are welcome to visit, and hear from us when something changes.

What matters to us

01

The person comes first.

Preferences, familiar routines, and personal history matter. Understanding them is where every conversation about support begins.

02

Home is a feeling.

Warmth, dignity, and a sense of belonging shape Desert Bloom. Everyday moments deserve as much thought as the big decisions.

03

Families are part of it.

Good conversations build trust. We welcome your questions and want families to feel comfortable talking about what matters to them.

Our care

Care that meets your loved one where they are.

Arizona describes assisted living care at three levels: supervisory, personal, and directed. Before anyone moves in, our Manager reviews their needs with the family to confirm Desert Bloom can safely meet them, and we repeat that review whenever needs change.

Supervisory care

General supervision and daily awareness of each resident's wellbeing, with caregivers who can step in during a crisis and help with the self-administration of prescribed medications.

A good fit for someone who is largely independent but should not be living alone.

Personal care

Hands-on help with daily living: bathing, dressing, grooming, getting around, and meals, plus medication assistance and coordination of intermittent nursing services as Arizona rules allow.

A good fit for someone who can direct their own care but needs a steady hand with it.

Directed care

Supervisory and personal care for residents who can no longer reliably recognize danger, call for help, express their needs, or make basic care decisions, delivered with the added structure and supervision those needs require.

A good fit for someone whose safety depends on caregivers anticipating needs they cannot voice.

What we are not

Desert Bloom is not a skilled nursing facility. We do not provide continuous medical or nursing services, behavioral health services, or adult day health care, and we do not use restraints. If a resident's needs grow beyond what our home can safely meet, we work with the family and their providers to find the right setting. We would rather say so early than promise care we cannot deliver.

Our home

A house in the hills, kept like a home.

Desert Bloom is a single-level home in a quiet residential Fountain Hills neighborhood, freshly updated for the people who will live here: a single-level layout, bathrooms with grab bars and shower seating, and a covered patio that looks out on the desert. Inside, it is set up for four residents and the people who care for them: a shared table, comfortable common spaces, and bedrooms residents are encouraged to make their own.

Daily life

Ordinary days, done well.

We think the measure of a good care home is how it handles a Tuesday. Mornings start when residents are ready. Meals are cooked in the kitchen, not reheated from a cart. Afternoons have something to look forward to. And families are welcome whenever they want to stop by.

Meals together

Three meals and snacks daily at a shared table, with preferences, textures, and physician-ordered diets honored.

Activities and company

A daily rhythm of activities shaped by what residents actually enjoy: music, games, gardening, faith, a walk in the sun.

Medication support

Medications stored, tracked, and given or assisted according to each resident's orders and Arizona requirements.

Family, always welcome

Visitors are welcome and private space for visits is available. Residents keep their phones, their mail, and their say in how the day goes.

Admissions

How moving in works.

We keep the process clear and unhurried. Most families start with a phone call and a visit.
